I am currently furloughed from my position with the Ohio Army National Guard’s G6.

I got involved with the army G6 as a visual information program manager while I was still a public affairs soldier. I managed event support and audiovisual technology equipment, and procurement. Two years ago, I took an administrative position with the G6 and supervise and assist the administrators who manage the mobility and printer and points on our network.

This furlough has made me realize that I need to take a more active role in mobility administration and end point vulnerability assessment for our organization.

The last project I did before going on furlough was to do penetration testing for our joint operation center. We tested the effectiveness of newly installed personal electronic device detection systems for that operation center.
I feel that this technical expertise is an important part of my story.
